  • Epson V300 Photo Scanner Well worth the money! This scanner is reasonably priced for the features. The color enhancement on older and faded photos does work as promised to improve the color and clarity. I also like that once you set your default settings eg enhancements file directory etc they are retained even after the unit is turned off and back on. The scanning area is large enough to accommodate almost any photo or document and with the hinged lid it does work well on high profile items like books. I also like that you don't need your mouse to click and scan. You just need to hit the power button twice and it launches the scan function. I highly reccommend this product and have already scanned hundreds of photos with hundreds to go.
great product I love my new photo scanner. Very easy to use. makes quality photos. I bought to scan my grandmothers photo album and it was very simple to use as well as quick. Also did a great job scanning 1800 era tin type photos. well worth the money.
Great for office use The scanning capabilities are amazing with this scanner. I can quickly scan a document into Adobe with one click then have it turn the document into editable text. If it weren't for the clearity of the scanner the conversion from image to text would otherwise be choppy in some areas however this is dead on.~Installation~Setup is straight forward. You get a CD to pop in your computer with next > next > next happening. It does allow you to install certain software so you aren't stuck with a larger package of software which is good if you only need the core functions. Overall you have a power cord USB and software that are required to setup. Nothing more required.~Bed Size~Scan bed size is nice and large. If you were to scan the average photo on it you could easily fit four and with the automatic select feature you do not have to go in and crop each image it does it for you.Auto rotater has not worked for me in the least bit however I use software that automatically rotates images for me anyhow so that is not a bother. I could see this being problematic if you are scanning many images and do not have professional software to rotate the images properly.~File Storage~Storage is easy to setup so if you are wanting to store it in different areas of your computer or network. It also allows for very easy configuration of the numbering system ie Start at 1 or Start at 35. This is great to keep them in order.~Noise~The noise is minimal. It's far more quiet than older scanners. It's not silent however it makes the typical scanner noise.~Lid Functionality~Lid functionality is really nice.
EPSON V300 Scanner Bought this unit to copy 5 trays of slides that I recently found during a house cleanup. Scanner setup was easy and I have now copied two trays of old carousel slides to disk. Quality of images was very good. The process is slow you can only do 4 at a time but was well worth the price. I get to keep some old memories and I have a scanner to boot. Just finished a tray from the 1964 World's Fair in New York. I found I didn't remember many of the exhibits that were part of the fair but some broght back memories.
Epson NOT SO PERFECT V300 Scanned images from slides produced fairly good results. However scanned images from photos was not distinguishable from the ones scanned with my $49.00 Epson Workforce 310 all in one. Since the V300 is labeled as a Photo Scanner expected results from a scanned photo should be distinguishable from a $49.00 all in one printer. But that's not the worst of it. After about 30 scans scanned images had a reddish tint. At about 50 scans red tint went away only to be replaced by a purple stripe across the middle of all scanned images.
Very good scanner I initially bought the V30 Scanner but discovered it's NOT for 35MM film or slides but for actual photos and documents. Obviously I misread the comments section on Amazon. After returning that to Amazon I bought the V300 and I'm pretty happy with it.I initially bought a cheap scanner from CVS and while it worked OK it was clumsy to use and required a huge amount of work on PhotoShop after scanning images. With the CVS version sometimes things worked out well and sometimes they did not. The Epson V300 is far more consistent in the quality of scanned images and while I still need to use PhotoShop to clean it up and sharpen images etc.
Love it! I bought this scanner after looking at a few other models and looking over the reviews. I decided on this one because of the ability to scan negatives and I'm so glad I did! I've mostly scanned a bunch of my daughters artwork and I have been pleased with the speed and quality of this scanner so far.
epson scanner V300 It seems to work very well. It was a little hard for me to learn how to scan slides but that difficulty was overcome and I am very satisfied with the product. Also it was delivered in a timely manner.
epson scanner The scanner arrived undamaged it was easy to set up and is working great. For the price it is a good buy.
Great results! I was looking to buy a scanner to convert old 126 format slides to ditigal images. After contacting Epson about the Perfection V300 Photo Scanner I was told it would scan them but that it wasn't supported. I went ahead and ordered it and I'm very happy with the outcome. It scanned the slides very well although some where cut off at the top. I just turned them sideways and they came out fine. All in all very happy with the product.
