logitech mouse for what you pay for this mouse it's not a bad deal. some of the problems I had is you almost have to buy a pad for it so it can work correctly. it comes with no programming to download for it so you have to go to the website to get it. no real problem since you have to register it anyway.it a good price and it's all I need for the basics.
Short in the cable leading into the device
great mouse great price this mouse is probably the best i've owned. the build quality is great and it feels solid in your hand. note that this mouse should be for righthanded users only. the scroll wheel is great i never thought it would be useful to switch to the hyperspeed scroll but now i use it all the time. horizontal scroll and back and forward buttons also work well. the tracking has worked on every surface i have tried so far.
No Mouse I had to purchase two of this product. Alas neither one worked from the getgo. Sent back. I have alsway favored Logitech but not this model will I go near again.
Unreliable Product I liked this mouse because it is simple but has some good features. I didn't like it after it died only three months after I bought it. Logitech replaced it but it was rather a frustrating experience because of an email mismatch. I hope the replacement lasts but with so much choice I think my next mouse will not be a Logitech.
A good replacment for my MX500 I've used a Logitech Mx500 for many years its left mouse button gave out and I purchased the M500 as a replacement as sadly the Mx500 is no longer available.The M500 a large very comfortable mouse. I love the placement of the forward and back buttons the left and right click buttons require just the right amount of pressure.The M500 scroll wheel takes some getting used to it has no detents and it scrolls with only a little drag which can make the screen whiz by too fastpractice does help and it's no big hindrance after a couple weeks. I'm getting used to the scroll wheel and have no regrets about this purchase but I marked the mouse down to 4 stars for this idiosyncrasy.
Overall very good mouse Overall I think this is a great mouse. I have a Logitech G500 gaming mouse that I use at home and I needed a new mouse to use at work so I decided on this mouse. I might be being harsh on this mouse because I like the G500 more but you get what you pay for.First off I think the look and feel of the mouse is great. It's very responsive and all of the buttons have a nice feel to them. I also love the button on this M500 and the G500 that changes how the scroll wheel spins. I think this mouse is great and I'm glad I got it.There are a couple things that I don't like about this mouse but that's only because I'm making a somewhat unfair comparison to the superior G500 and they're only minor complaints. Looking at it from the top the M500 has the traditional mouse shape but if you look at pictures of it the left side has an indentation which is for your thumb. This doesn't really fit the way I hold a mouse so it's a bit awkward compared to any normal mouse but not a big deal. By comparison the G500 has the the 'full' shape of a mouse with an outward protrusion for the thumb not an inward indentation. I like the shape of the G500 a lot more.Second sometimes I find it a little hard to holddrag with the scroll wheel button because of how the scroll wheel can scroll left and right. But this is a minor complaint.Third the mouse cord seems really thin compared to other lowerquality mice. I much prefer the cloth style cord on the G500 and other gaming mice over the M500's thin cord. It seems like it could break really easily.Minor complaints aside this is a great mouse.
Ergonomic mouse for adult hands Replaced an original equipment optical mouse that was slowly deteriorating on its death pad. This is more than a replacement I wish I had replaced original mouse with this earlier even while the older mouse worked. It's so much better in features hand fit and speed. No problems or conflicts with Logitech Webcam also installed on this computer. In general I buy from Amazon when possible if only for the customer service if needed.
Awesome mouse I got this because my old mouse's scroll wheel an old kensington pro fit got too slippery to use the buttons began to feel wierd and I needed something better. This mouse is comfortable has a great scroll wheel and has great click action very light and clicky. The mouse is comfortable but only if your hand is resting low down on it something you can't do with a wrist rest. I'll need a new mouse pad probably a steelseries but that's fine because my old one wasn't very good anyway. The scroll wheel has two modes which can be changed with the button behind the wheel. I would've liked the button to be on the bottom of the mouse but I don't notice it where it is. The scroll wheel has textured plastic so it won't lose its grip and is the best one I've ever used. The left and right mouse buttons are very easy to press and have a satisfying click. The back and forward buttons are out of the way so you don't press them by accident and they're big so they're easy to press and comfortable. They have the same satisfying click as the main buttons. There is no software included but if you download setpoint you can turn off mouse acceleration which basically makes it harder to click on what you want to. Also turn off enhance pointer precision in windows that's also mouse acceleration. With setpoint you can do other things too but I won't go into that. This is overall a great performing and great looking mouse and you should definately buy it if you're looking for a non gaming mouse. You won't regret it but you will regret going with something of lesser quality like I did.
a mouse you will like When my Dell mouse started to jump all over the place I knew I needed a new one. I chose the Logitech Corded Mouse M500. The price was right and it worked perfectly. The shape fits easily in the hand and I especially like that I can move back or forward a page with the one click on the side of the mouse. Overall I have no complaints for this Logitech item I can highly recommend it.
