Not workable for older adults Not sure if this is a great product. Remote battery didn't work so bought another one. Remote still wouldn't work and couldn't figure out another way to turn on the frame. Also the remote is very tiny and flimsy. Not suitable for older adults who have bad eyesight feeble or have shaky hands.
Just ok This is just an ok buy. I do not understand the on/off feature of the motion sensor though. And i have to use a step down transformer to power it because we use 220v in my country.
Frame was greatuntil it stopped working! I bought this frame as a gift for my parents and loved the motion sensor because they wouldn't have to think about turning the frame on and off since they probably wouldn't.ProsThe motion sensor worked great! The picture quality was good.ConsPlastic frame looks cheap. When put in random mode the photos seem to cycle through the same 20 photos or so after awhile.Frame completely stopped working after a power outage.Amazon almost didn't let me return it because it was past the 60day return window. I put up a fight about it and was able to return it without having to pay return shipping but they were very hesitant about it. Be cautious when buying this product.
i like it! Crisp pictures but I dont have an extra SD card to keep in the frame. The setup menu is somewhat challenging to navigate in order to upload or delete some photos. its best to arrange the photos in order on your computer then add the SD card to the frame.
Ugly unreliable Like many of the other onestar reviewers I had a bad experience because the frame stopped working correctly after just 24 hours. On the second day I had it 75% of the screen was suddenly white. I shut it off and left it over the weekend hoping maybe it just needed to cool down but the following Monday 100% was dead white. I'm returning it to Amazon.Even assuming it had kept working it has some noticeable consIt's ugly. The purpose of a digital frame is to be decorative right? The frame part is made of a pebbled black plastic that has all the panache of a standardissue office telephone. Plus there is a big round bump on the front of the frame which I assume is the receiver for the remote. I have since discovered a much nicer looking Coby frame for the same price. It has NO internal memory which means you must devote a USB drive or an SD card to it fulltime. The description doesn't make this clear at all and I was unpleasantly surprised. Also note that the placement of the USB port means a standardsize USB drive sticks out from the side of the frame and is quite visible detracting from the decorative factor even more. So you will want an SD card or a compact size thumb drive. There is also a noticeable heating up of the USB drive after a few hours of operation which could have something to do with the numerous reported performance issues.During the one day it worked for me I noticed that the motion sensor didn't seem to work. I set it to an hour and when I came back into my office the next morning it was obvious it had never shut off overnight. The display seems kind of grainy not nearly as beautiful and crystal clear as the 5star reviews had led me to believe and begins washing out as soon as you move at an angle to the screen.Up against all these cons I did observe one proIt's super easy to use just plug in your drive containing your photos and off you go. It will start a slideshow right away and if you don't mind the default settings you don't need to do another thing just sit back and enjoy. If you do want to change settings the menu system is very intuitive and easy to use with the remote.
Customer service is excellent Right off the top if you have difficulties contact customer service immediately. They have a very professional and courteous staff. They truly want you to enjoy their product. Allow about a day for response to your email.I bought this frame and it worked as stated the pictures were clean and crisp. However I could only get it to display a little over 800 of the over 2000 pictures I loaded on the SD card. I went to the customer service website and went through their FAQ section and found out that the card must be formatted in a specific fashion to get the maximum number of pictures to display. Still confused I contacted customer support via email. They informed me that the product is only designed to display around 1200 pictures at most and could not understand why i could only get a little over 800 to display. However they offered to send me their more recent version of this product in an equal exchange for the older version. It will display 10000 pictures. I received it and its wonderful and have had no problems getting the frame to recognize all 9200 pictures I have loaded on it. The pictures are clean and crisp and I am really enjoying this product.
nix photo frame the 8 inch photo frame worked as ADVERTISED FOR about 78 months and then just died.It lost power and after multiple plug in and out's worked for another day.Now it is either locked up on the menu or without power.
wouldnt buy This item was recieved and i was very excited to plug it in and get started viewing pictures. i plugged it in turned it on the welcome type screen came on and off multiple times it then began the slideshow. it didnt get more than 4 pictures max shown before the screen automatically shut off and never turned back on. as i picked it up i heard some sort of broken piece rattling around inside. i immediatly repackaged this item and it was an easy no fuss return. just bummed the item didnt work. i decided to get a brand i had heard of and pick it up directly from the store.
You get what you pay For Bought two of these only one worked. The one that did work was nothing special. The display was grainy with images that were sharp on other displays and images were slow to load unless they were tiny 600x300. There was no comparison between the NIX and the Sony DPFD95 I bought used for less money. I would only recommend this for those who do not expect much and if it's discounted.
Excellent Frame Excellent price to feature ratio. Using it to display HD 1900x1600 jpegs Quick load time and great screen quality the movement sensor is a nice bonus if you're using it a your desk I set up to turn off an hour after it detect no movement.
